You know that idea Cidz was doing in her post?  That’s a new format of posts I want to try where we just rant on about our weekly dose of anime and whatever is going on in our lives.    If you like the idea, just say so but if you find something terribly wrong with coming out of the episodic posts, just curse at me in the comments or on Twitter.  That being said, this week of episodes was fairly disappointing.  So instead of capturing a screenshot of any shows this week, here’s an eroge I’m playing:

I understand it’s finals week for me and many of you guys (and for those of you in high school, it’s AP week teehee) so maybe that had something to do with that or myself watching Fright Night with Colin Ferrell yesterday, which turned out to be a completely shitty movie.  And you know what the sad part is?  I gave up watching the Avengers for that shit, just so I could “relax at home and probably get some studying done”.  I ended up watching a shitty movie when I even knew what to expect from a crappy Colin Ferrel.  That douchebag, you know who was completely right about him?  Seth McFarlene in this Family Guy clip:

You got to love Stewie.  In any case while we’re on the topic of vampires, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Of the Dead this week was a pitiful excuse of a filler episode.  After I knew Seraphim and the rest of the kyuketsu ninjas weren’t going to have any bits in the episode, I immediately raged.  We had some crummy episode about Eu getting sick but that somehow turns into something that involves Haruna because it turns out that she was sick as well.  The only decent part of the episode was when Aikawa started to pull out the dance moves on a sick Eu.  Speaking of Eu, did I mention that this was a complete Eu-fan-based episode?  Tofu might appreciate it a bit more than me.

If that wasn’t the worst case, SPHERE caught the disease from Aikawa and had an episode that was slightly more well-played in Natsuiro Kiseki.  Speaking of that show, I have to completely take credit for everyone just suddenly liking the show and talking about how good it is.  When it was first announced, nobody gave a damn and when it came to spring previews, I browsed around a ton of sites that all said either 1) I don’t like girls doing cute things or 2) It’s SPHERE, don’t expect much but let’s give it a shot!  And now what do you have?  Let’s take a look at some completely random tweets…

Shining Hearts made you always want to eat more bread and watching it, nothing went wrong.  However bland the show may be, it’s consistent which is a very important factor in a lot of shows that I watch.   Where as certain shows may have brilliant episodes followed by completely bullshit ones, shows like Shining Hearts just stay somewhat bland and just guilt-free to watch.  Speaking of guilt-free, Sakarea just keeps getting better and better.

A show that could be good is Sket Dance – I recently stopped watching it because I’d rather be watching a Haruhi-esque version of Bossun with a big chest a.k.a. Medaka Box.  Nothing surprising happened this time around although we did get to a nice cut-away featuring an epic battle of the swim team vs. team Medaka.  It’ll be interesting to see the outcome but in terms of predicting it, we know the Student Council will win and Medaka will end up giving some high-end speech about life and not saving it for money.

Hyouka was good and Super Mario Galaxy Space Bros. was decent this week.  Nothing much to say but we’re going to expect more and more from these shows as they progress.  Kudos to KyoAni and whatever studio does the other one.  I’m too lazy to look it up, although I’m certainly not lazy to comment how shit Mysterious Girlfriend X is becoming.    To put it bluntly, I commented on a blog about this:

“Too silly” is a nice way of putting what was really going through my mind.  Why the fuck would you make internal fluids a way of connecting through a show?  Seriously, you might as well have a silly Skype conversation of people having sex while watching a completely overrated show…

Yes, that is Tofu (Sekijitsu) and Fosh (METANORN).  Mushy was in this conversation too but he was too busy fapping to write anything.  What was he fapping to?

I kid, Mushy.    In terms of music this week, I found two awesome remix albums – one from Angel Beats and one from Nichijou.  As I don’t want any government agents tracking me down, you can just find them yourself on Nyaa or ASL.
