Minami-ke is screwed

All three of you who have seen Minami-ke and are fans are no doubt aware of this travesty.

For the unfortunate unknowing, Minami-ke is the story of three awesome (really two awesome and one derpy) sisters who live alone in true anime fashion, and their lives at school and at home. Haruka, the oldest is a sweet, motherly girl that everyone can’t help but love. Kana, the middle child is kind of crazy. Chiaki, the loli, is really intelligent, and pretty much the greatest character in the show. Minami-ke is a great slice-of-life comedy, and the first season has some great moments, such as Matrix-style jumping over a table, and Chiaki’s epic pet rock.
When informed about Minami-ke getting a fourth season, many fans hoped that this new season would be a direct sequel to the excellent first season, because from what I’ve heard the second and third seasons are not very good. The announcement of a fourth season was met with delight until studio Feel was announced to be in charge. Studio Feel is responsible for such quality anime as Yosuga no Sora. Those of you who remember my previous posts on Yosuga no Sora remember stuff like this: (NSFW)
While this scene was freaking hilarious, it is not what Minami-ke is about. Stuido Feel also makes the Kiss x Sis OVAs, and while these OVAs are awesome, again, they are not what Minami-ke is about.
It may sound odd coming from me, but I actually don’t want to see the three Minami sisters having hot lesbian incest sex, I want to see them being hilarious, and I’m afraid Feel will deliver the former rather than the latter.
I am worried, CSW. I am worried.
Aw god. The only thing Feel knows how to make is jackoff material and when it tries to do comedy, it fails miserably (Mayo Chiki). It should be noted that Studio Feel’s contribution to the anime world this summer is “Dakara Boku wa H ga Dekinai”:
Kaga Ryōsuke is a pervert high school boy. One day, he meets a girl standing alone in the rain. She is Lisara Restor, an elite Shinigami, who visited the human world in order to find “Singular Man”.
Ryosuke makes a contract with Lisara and she sucks energy required for her activity in the human world from Ryosuke. The source of the energy is his perverted spirit.
To recover the sexual desire, Ryosuke has no choice but to help Lisarah’s search.
Yeah…
I liked this premise better when it was High School DxD.
And even then, Issei’s libido was kept intact post-resurrection.
Awwwwww hell. IS THERE NOTHING SACRED IN THIS WORLD!?!
Although Hosaka delusions turned up to eleven might be funny for a while.
And I do find it amusing that the animation studio keeps on getting shifted around. I wonder if I should just start praying for season 5?
This is seriously one of the worst studios they could have chosen. I hope it loses a lot of money so the boneheads in charge of this decision get in trouble.
What a strange decision that was. I feel bad for you guys.
