I’m back after I went deep into the mountains and fought the demons of Limbo in Devil May Cry.   A lot of things happened but I’m glad to say I’m going to keep on posting here because I renewed my faith in Japanese culture after watching all the Ghost in the Shells again.  First of all, welcome to Teru and amazing review of Devil May Cry, because I am a huge fan of the series.  I love the new Dante and I love the twists of the game.  I beat it on all seven modes, and I racked up 100+ hours on it.    Secondly, I would like to thank Jubbz for being patient with me and lastly, Martinman for being the coolest cat ever.  I stayed at his place, we watched a lot of anime, he heard me talk silly things to my girlfriend, and I had a lovely holiday meeting his weird silly family.

More importantly, Majikoi A-1 time.   Don’t be jealous after I actually pre-ordered the game from my friend in Japan.   And got to play it.   Bad news though, it’s not as great as everyone perceives it to be.  The particular route that I am disappointed in is Azumi’s route.  It tangents off from when you are on Monshiro’s route helping Azumi get with Hideo.  I had high hopes for this route to be perfectly honest.  The major interaction among Yamato and Azumi is initiated when Yamato offers to help Azumi’s one-sided love towards Kuki Hideo. Given how Hideo like Kazuko, you might see how this is a problem.  As Yamato, Stacy and Lee think of ways for Azumi to appeal to Hideo, Yamato finds himself falling for the sexy maid.  After a few short time skips, you see Yamato confessing to Azumi after she gets rejected.  The Yamato-Azumi relationship becomes basically Miyako-Yamato as it takes Azumi ten years to admit that she loves anime.  So in the end, there is no flirting back and forth with the lovers.  There is a considerable amount of sex though, and we get to see Azumi pregnant.  Bonus: Miyako and Gakuto work at Kuki.  End verdict?  3.0/10.0

Benkei’s route was godly.  It’s basically about Benkei and Yamato chilling about their Lazy Club til they end up going out with each other.  A couple enemies of Benkei shows up, and she beats the shit out of them trying to protect Yamato.  A lot of good dates, and a great route for all the people who love the sex hair.  Sayaka’s route is basically she gets into a huge fight with her father, and something similar to the Chris route in the first Majikoi happens.  Being that Sayaka came only for summer vacation, you have three months to get her to fall in love with you.  Pretty standard visual novel timeline.  The route, being said, was extremely short but at least like her sister (Yukie), she shares a deep perverted nature beneath that cute exterior.  Benkei (9.0/10.0)  Sayaka (7.0/10.0)
