It kinda make sense though. I was like RAWRRR WTF!! when Gin revealed his “bankai” to Ichigo. I do not believe for a sec that that is all his bankai can do. Glad that I was right ^_^

Of course it’s convenient. Bleach likes to bring in powers on the go to help the plot lol. Yeah, this was totally a WTF chapter.

I wouldn’t calling it a change in the Zanpakuto’s power. It’s more like characterization that comes off with the impression that it’s a change in power.
