The CSW Winter Preview: Our very first seasonal anime preview!
That’s right, Chocolate Syrupy Waffles or CSW for short, has come quite a way. In short, this little preview of ours will feature commentary from those of us who happened to not be too busy/lazy to come up with actual thoughts, and the chances that the show will be blogged. In the form of statistics. Or a percent. Cuz I’m L. Let’s get started, shall we?
I’m sure you guys remember me, Jubbz, assuming you’re readers of the Ganbatte Forever! Blog, as one of the guest bloggers who helped with Seineme’s winter preview dealie by posting my own thoughts. However, some of my thoughts on those shows from are subject to change/update here. Why? Because when i look back, I look like, WOW, I HAVE NO TASTE. 
With that outta the way…
First, allow me to explain how the seasonal preview system works here. We’ll go with a percentage followed by a pic that says WANT, DO NOT WANT, or SORTA WANT (assuming i can find different pics through Google, you’ll just have to see the same one) depending on the number of opinions for said show.
Of course, If i say i won’t watch or blog, that doesn’t mean, the show won’t absolutely be blogged, because there’s always a slim chance that the show i won’t watch or blog could be blogged by one of the others. Now, however, if i say I WILL be blogging it, you best believe, I WILL BE BLOGGING IT. There’s no need to doubt it!
And of course, I’ll give each and every show a FIRST LOOK (applies to new shows only, not OVAs.) At the moment, i won’t be including a buncha Trailers to said shows, simply because too many other blogs got trailers and I don’t wanna look like a rip-off of Random Curiosity, Seaslugs, T.H.A.T, ect. I want to establish the fact that this blog does indeed have it’s own flair and taste. I want to make this post as readable as eating a plate of delicious waffles with Chocolate syrup on’em. Actually, that’s the point of the whole blog. Why am i saying this?
Because I can. 
So without further ado, let’s get started on that Winter Preview.
1.Durarara!!
- Jubbz: This one looks to be highly entertaining. Mainly due to the synopsis I’m reading and it’s made by the guy who did Baccano! Surely this one will probably be a part of the top grade Anime this season. Or not. I ain’t watchin till its finished airing though. Hell, I’ve yet to even finish Baccano.
- Cidz: looks interesting. i dont care its by the makers of bacano it just seems interesting.
- Furion: Considering all the hype, I definitely want to check it out, at least. Other people seem intent on blogging it, though.
- Splitter: From the creator of Baccano!, by the staff of Baccano! I’m so there.
- Megiddo: Same author, director, char designer, music, etc. as Baccano! Definite watch.
- DarkKingSilvers: How does that one line go? "You had me at ‘hello’?" In this case, it’s more like "You had me at ‘Creators of Baccano’. Definitely will be watching this once the first decent sub hits the interwebs and is the #2 show I’m looking forward to this season.
- Justice: from creators of Bacanno!, so people will obviously be interested. Me? I don’t care about it.
- Dreamtheater: I’ll also be watching Durarara since I love the Brains Base/Aniplex team…and Baccano! author of course

Dance in the Vampire Bund
- Jubbz: Oh Hell yes. A Vampire Loli would surely bait in a buncha lolicons who are either sadistic or masochistic. It’s only natural seeing a delicious flat chest covered in blood. But delusional fucks would totally think that red is kool-aid. Or she just murdered the Kool-aid man in that promo picture. Either way, It’s also a SHAFT production, so I’m lookin forward to this. I might only blog the naked loli bits.
- Cidz: eh sounds bland i wont be watching this one.
- Furion: …anyone else kind of tired of vampires…? -_-
- Splitter: I’m only watching one SHAFT series and this isn’t it.
- Megiddo: It’s SHAFT… I’ll check it out. Don’t like char design with pic on ANN though.
- DarkKingSilvers: This actually sounds pretty interesting, but it also sounds like it can quickly become meh. I’ll wait for everyone else to watch it to see if it’s worth checking out.
- Justice: lots of SHAFT fags on the internet, so yeah, of course people will be intersante.

So-Ra-N0-Wo-To
- Jubbz: I hear this show is like MILITARY K-on. I swear to god if there’s a Mio clone, as in, one of the bitches gets worshipped… I’m gonna hate this show and K-ON forever and give it a 1 on my MAL. I’ll only give a first look.
- Cidz: awwww this sounds cute! but im gonna wait till after it airs or till i have more free time/space to watch it.
- Furion: The premise actually has me interested, even if it is just an excuse for some more moe blobs. I might at least watch an episode or two but, again, other people here seem to have blogging it covered.
- Splitter: Watching and blogging. K-ON! chara designs aside, the story
sound good and it’s directed by Mamoru Kanbe whose credentials show nothing like K-ON! in his experience. Plus, it’s the first "Anime no Chikara" project, which is meant to promote originality in anime… on the flipside, if it is K-ON! Redux, I’m going to bash the hell out of it and enjoy every minute. - Megiddo: moe war? I’m down.
- DarkKingSilvers: Military? Check. Moe? Check. I’m down. Even if it does become K-ON 2.0, I like watching mundane stuff as long as there isn’t too much of it, so this will fill either quota. Looking forward to it.
- Justice: It’s KyoiAni garbage, of course ppl will be interested.

Hanamaru Kindegarten I’ll also be watching Durarara since I love the Brains Base/Aniplex team…and Baccano! author of course
- Jubbz: Lol wut? Gainax Finally went the little kids route, so we won’t be seeing any of their amazing Titty physics in this show… unless they give us a smokin’ hot teacher. Other than that, This show might be a hit or miss. And it’s looking to be a miss to me.
- Cidz: *See So-ra-no-wo-to*
- Furion: Dear lord…they just keep getting younger! O_o Yeah, I have no interest in this whatsoever.
- Splitter: Gainax pulls a JusticeGundam on the whole otaku world. Anyone not watching it is a stupid loser.
- Megiddo: Gainax brilliance
- DarkKingSilvers: The greatest anime troll ever save for Endless Eight? You know I’ll be watching this. There has to be some reason why such the big names are apart of the show, so I’ma watch to find out.
- Justice: It’s about kindergarteners….. people will be interested just foir the lulz. Tho I can imagine it being like one of those "lol, I’ll wacth the first ep just for the lulz" kind of series. I still brag it regardless.
- Dreamtheater: Justice is making me watch that kindergarten show…Gainax is involved so it should at least be worth checking out

Nodame Finale
- Jubbz: Not watching until the first Nodame series gets dubbed.
- Cidz: ZOMFG NODAME!!!! i watched the first 2 seasons course im gonna watch this!
- Furion: It might behoove me to actually see the rest of the series, before I see the finale.
- Splitter: You think I got this far not to know how it ends? GYABO!
- Megiddo: Can’t wait -_-
- DarkKingSilvers: #1 Anticipated show this season. I know it’s going to be good and I can’t wait. I’m frothing at the mouth already.
- Dreamtheater: I’ll be Blogging Nodame Finale and its gonna blow everything else right the fuck out of the water.

Gag Manga Biyori +
- Jubbz: Denied. No really.
- Cidz: oh this sounds different and intersting, i wanna watch it but not till later. maybe ill marathon this and trapeze and blow my mind completely out the window :P
- Furion: Interesting concept, but far too random for me.
- Splitter: Um, no.
- DarkKingSilvers: Pass.

Qwaser of the Stigmata
- Jubbz: Oh this is an automatic MUST WATCH AND BLOG for me. It’s my replacement for Queen’s Blade, mosdef. The fanservice should be packed and it shall be hilarious to watch a man gain power from breast milk. OH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Will watch.
- Cidz: HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHHAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *takes breath* HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHH OMGAH BREAST MILK?!!??!?! HAHAHAHAAAHA OMGAH. man japan what will you think of next XD i dont think ill watch this, well i might for the lulz XD like queens blade O_o
- Furion: Breast milk…as a power-up?? And I thought ecchi couldn’t get lower than Queen’s Blade. Stay classy, Japan.
- Splitter: Breast milk power-ups. Japan, you’ve done it again! Still not watching. I hope someone blogs it though.
- Megiddo: One chapter of the manga was enough to convince me it’s crap.
- DarkKingSilvers: I think I’d rather go to prison and get raped by Big Bubba than watch this.

Baka to Test to Shokanjuu
- Jubbz: I’ve read the manga and it’s freakin’ hilarious. The main character just adds a different flavor to the average Shonen protagonist and that’s why I know I’ll love this show. Right up my alley.
- Cidz: eh sounds kinda cute but i doubt ill be watchn this.
- Furion: It would be an interesting idea, if it wasn’t an excuse plot to show off a bunch of cute anime girls. Pass.
- Splitter: Zero no Tsukaima ripoff, anyone? PASS.
- Megiddo: Looks generic. Meh.
- DarkKingSilvers: Hmm… no.

Hidamari Sketch x ***
- Jubbz: So uh, This is that one show with the little girls in apartments doing art right? I think that’s what it’s about. Otherwise, I don’t know too much about it ‘cept it’s another of SHAFT’s works. I haven’t seen the first 2 (or 3) Hidamari Sketch shows, so I’ll be passing on this one
- CC-Kallen:
- Cidz: awww this sounds cute! i defz wanna watch this sometime.
- Furion: I haven’t seen the previous seasons, and I don’t really have any incentive to do so.
- Splitter: I’m only watching one SHAFT series and this is it.
- Megiddo: I still need to finish first series and watch x365
- DarkKingSilvers: Once I watch the first 2 series, then I’ll check this out. Until then, Yuno can stay in the backlog.

Hana ka naru… whatever 3
- Jubbz: It’s just as I’m saying. WHATEVER. Never saw the first two, and don’t plan to. Like, ever.
- Cidz: this sounds kinda intersting, and a break from alotta the moe stuff i seem to be seeing this season. id like to watch this at sometime.
- Furion: As I read the plot, all I heard in my mind was "blah blah blah Priestess blah blah demons blah blah blah generic fantasy plot." Plus, it’s another series where I haven’t seen the previous seasons and, obviously, I have no intention to see them.
- Splitter: I didn’t do S1 or S2, so why start now?
- Meggido: Pass
- DarkKingSilvers: Haven’t seen the first 2, haven’t heard anything about them, so no.

Ookami Kakushi
- Jubbz: This series here is another of the Horror genre in which Ryukishi07 has a hand in. I won’t be expecting too much, but I could hope that he doesn’t do a buncha time loops on us which’ll go into a second season. I’ll watch, but I’m hoping everything will be answered a little faster. (in other words, no second season). This nigga has a bad habit of lying too damn much.
- Cidz: ooooh this sounds like a horror type anime! i really like thos i might watch it someday
- Furion: Actually…this one sounds kind of interesting. I definitely want to give the first episode a try and if I like it, and no one else claims it, I might blog it.
- Splitter: MOST ORIGINAL SERIES EVER! PEOPLE WHO DON’T LIKE IT OBVIOUSLY WILL HAVE NEVER PLAYED THE GAME!
- Meggido: Ehh… we’ll see if Ryukishi7 can make a story without resetting it.
- DarkKingSilvers: Another Ryu07 show, so I’m interested. However, I don’t want to have a billion weekly shows like I do now, so I’ll wait. Like Vampire Bund, I’ll wait to see what everyone has to say before checking it out.

- Jubbz: What the hell is this shit? From the synopsis it looks like some kind of toy or cartoon made in the 1900’s. DO NOT WANT.
- Cidz: hmm.. the concept sounds intersting but idk if id watch it.

- Splitter: *shudders in terror*
- Meggido: A series about a doll? I disliked Rozen Maiden quite a bit and I doubt there will be fighting here

- Jubbz: Mmmm… I read a little bit of the manga, and it’s sorta interesting. SORTA. Yeah, my opinion changed a little since i guest blogged for Seineme’s Winter preview. But still, I have to admit, it’s also looking to be your generic average harem animu. So my chances of watching at all are 50/50.
- Cidz: oh lord i can just imagine the tropes list on this one XD still doesnt sound so bad. lookn at the picture looks like it might be a harem type anime.
- Furion: It seems to be a harem anime. So, no.
- Splitter: Generic harem series #5072. Pass.
- Meggido: Generic meh.
- DarkKingSilvers: Synopsis sounds like the epitome of meh. Pass.

Jubbz: OH YEAAAAAAAAAAH. This one’s bound to be labeled one of the terrible animes of the season. It’s a show about freakin panties. How hilarious is that! If it’s uncensored, I’ll prolly put up the ecchi pics around. If not, I’m not gonna bother blogging it in any form.
- Cidz: O_O!?!?!?!?!?!? oh sure why not have an anime celebrating panties i mean really ITS ABOUT TIME! cuz god knows anime loves thiierr panty shots XD will i watch this? i dunno, maybe someday if im rly bored and got nothn else to do i might watch it for the lulz XD
- Furion: More pointless fanservice. Again, no.

- Jubbz: I seen the trailer to this and you know what i thought? Kanokon all over again. The ecchi and artstyle reminds me so much of Kanokon, and the shit that happened on that show… Oh ho ho, borderline hentai shit there. I might watch it just to see how far it’ll go.
- Cidz: HHAHAHAAH…. welll lulz aside it does seem kindasorta cute. so idk might watch it someday if its not very long.
- Furion: *see Omamori Himari*
- Splitter: Hayate + cliques = This is supposed to amuse me? Pass.
- Megiddo: Eh.. it’s Xebec and the director is same dude who did Kanokon. Those two things lower my interest but it has a good group of voice actors, so I’ll watch the first ep.
- DarkKingSilvers: I’d watch this only if it consisted of existing butlers and maids from existing shows. Hayate vs. Alfred, hell to the yes. Until then, no.

We’re on the second episode, which was much better than the first… We finally get that topless loli action… It’s how the SHAFT studio rolls. Needless to say, many already-fans of Mina Tepes were smiling in glee as we saw her naked. Do i dare count myself as part of that growing quota of lolicon?

Winter season is shitty. ALL shows suck. But I do want to watch Dance in the Vampire Bund. I just hope it wouldn’t disappoint me.

Picks of the season: Durara, Ookami, Dance in the vampire bund, Harukanari.. and a bunch of random shows I’ll eventually drop.
Let’s see what horror from the Sonozaki’s torture chamber Ookami can bring to the table. I love Higurashi and theories but as far as theories go I think Umineko has more than any show combined. I think that’s enough so I’d like to see more slashing and horror in Ookami. Not to mention with only 12 eps Ryukishi07 will have less time to troll us so it’s good. I say it’s time to bring all the knives and machetes in back.

We share similar thoughts on military moe. I can already see this show dropping atomic moe blob bombs all over the world and possibly making it #1 on the polls. I’ll watch a few eps just to see how much I’ll be hati.. what my impressions will be for this show.

Wait, Ookami Kakushi is only 12 episodes? Awesome. NO TROLLING ALLOWED, RYUKISHI. Ah yeah, Umineko’s mystery is so complex, millions of theories have been formed and many have been torn to bits by the red truth.

Damn. A lot of hate for Vampire Bund. I’m not even a big fan of SHAFT, but I’m still going to watch it. It could be ultra violent, and that’s always a good thing.
Anyway, epic entry, I loved the pictures. XD
Justice got me interested in the Kindergarten one, so I’mma watch it. I’m expecting some type of crazy and over-the-top ending.
Jubbz, since you’re watching Qwaser of the Stigmata, I’m also going to watch it. Like you said – the replacement for Queen’s Blade. Or maybe that will be Chu Bra. Still, I’m not touching Chu Bra. Looks stupid.
Nodame, I’m sure, is amazing, but I haven’t seen the other seasons, so obviously I can’t watch it.
So..uh…this is basically how I put together my winter list:
1. Qwaser of the Stigmata(the sequel to Queen’s Blade)
2. Durarara( the sequel to Baccano)
3. So-ra-no-wo-to(the sequel to K-On!)
4. Hanamaru Kindergarten(the sequel to Kodomo no Jikan and Gurren Lagann)
5. Katanagatari(the sequel to Bakemonogatari)
6. Ookami Kakushi(the sequel to Umineko)
7. Vampire Bund(the sequel to Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Twilight)
So, yeah, those are the shows I’m watching. Might try one or two others, but I doubt it.

It’s based on the number of opinions, and the chances of us even watching. The pics are for what we’ll be WATCHING due to number of rejective or approve opinions.. The percentage is for BLOGGING. Just cuz we watch something doesn’t mean it’ll be blogged.
In other words. 3 Watching, 3 not watching = SORT OF WANT.
4 WATCHING , 2 NOT watching = DO WANT.
4 NOT WATCHING and 2 or less watchng = DO NOT WANT.

Winter and summer are always weaker compared to their spring/fall counterparts. I actually think this winter is pretty dang strong. At least 5 strong series (Vampire, Durarara, Nodame, Soranowoto, Ookami) and a good number of possible sleeper hits as well.

Mio would actually have been a decent character if she was more of a tsundere, older-sister-mentor type, which she did initially seem to be. But than, she just became a generic moe blog. As long as this Rio character sticks with the older-sister-mentor routine, rather than being the subject of scenes only meant to glorify how supposedly cute she is, she’ll still be yards ahead of Mio.
I still got to see the trailer. “Uplifting” sounds promising….

wellll… the whole series was one big moeblob :P but still i see your point, i liked her, i liked everyone. like mio wasnt my MOSTFAV EVARRR OMGAH SHES A GODESS TO ALL MOE FODDLERS!!!! or anything but i liked her. id have to say my fav was uhh… watshername the blonde rich one, i thought she was cute.. she played her moeness nicely like not overkill (well not overkill in a very moe series lol) and idk she wasnt always the center of attention but was ok with it. <3
im also suprised ppl dont have as much love as mio-clone aka azu or wtever her name is haha.. she was like a mini-mio i swear XD
and i dont think that so-ra-wa… will be as INURFAIZE MOE!!!! as like K-ON was.. and yeah! it does seem uplifting. idk i kinda wanna watch this now. i might actually.. concidering it seems i just finished 2 series tonight from my watching list. and 2 more i think next week as well
