episode 2: “Changing Seats”

So this episode starts out with a bit of a recap from last episode, it shows the part where Sawako (Sadako) stands up for Kazehaya and tells the class that she finds him refreshing, then it shows them talking alone afterwards all blushy and stuff (awww cute <333)

then the episode offiical starts with Sawako walking in the rain to class she sees a little stray doggy in a box with the words “Please Adopt Me” Written on it. The doggy wakes up and starts snarling at sawako due to her frightening apparences (though I don’t think she really looks all that creepy, in fact shes rather cute.) but nonetheless the dog is still afraid of her still that doesn’t seem to stop Sawako she places the umbrella over the doggy and walks off she thinks to herself “one good dead a day” which is her motto.

She arrives at school soaking wet of course just as some girls were gossiping and spreading rumors about her Sawako still trying her best to become friends says good morning to them they turn around see her soaking went scaryness (i get a kick how they slightly distort her to see her threw the POV of the students XD) and run off Sawako is worried her suddenly saying good morning scared them away.

Sawako then walks in the classroom and shortly afterwards here comes Kazehaya also pretty wet and everyone comes crowding around him, Sawako greatly admires him because of that. He sees Sawako and walks up to her and starts talking, he asks if she has a spare gym clothes and she doesnt. He then asks Ayane if she has a spare pair, she does and hands Sawako an old pair of gym clothes she laughs says thier moldy and that she can wash them too. But it’s in no way a mean way, shes not making fun of Sawako but rather just getting a kick at how old they are. More like joking around with old friends.

Kazehaya also hands Sawako his towel and says she can use it, though he used it too so its a bit wet, awww she gets dreamy eyed over it lol.

Afterwards theres a scene with Kazehaya talking to one of his friends. His friend is like i thought you rejected Sadoko and hes like no i didnt reject her or anything. and gets all flustered thinking about the scene from last ep. when they talked and he handed her the candy. He gets all embrassed and his friend is more confused.

Sawako happy with the good deads people have done for her decided to thank them by giving them juice drinks, she places a juice drink on each of thier desks (Ayane, Kazehaya, and Chizuru) Ayane and Chizuru walk in after she has left the juices on thier desks and a couple of studens tell them Sadoko left it. Ayane of course gets emotional over this XD.

Next shows Kazehaya looking at the juice box he then goes out and sees Sawako he asks her if she left him the juice box she blushes and shyly says yes, and he is relieved he was worried that because he overthinks he might of went overboard with giving her the towel, course he blushes like crazy while saying this giving us more hints that he does have feelings for Sawako. Sawako continues blushing and Kazehaya tells her that hes just a bit nervous XD so cute ~

He then asks if that milk Sawako is holding is for her, she says no its for this stray dog she found, turns out he also ran into the same doggy and that is why he was soaking wet earlier. They then go and see the doggy. It falls instantly in love with Kazehaya and still growls at Sawako. Sawako says its alright shes immuned shes use to dogs and children being that way towards her but she likes dogs the most. Kazehaya then says “well isnt a dog also nice to thier owners close friends?” then moves closer and touches Sawakos shoulder with his while holding the doggy saying “see, we’re close friends” the dog is confused by this but at least he doesn’t growl. Kazehaya asks Sawako if he could keep the doggy, she says ok but asks if she can see the doggy again, Kazehaya seems to get slightly hurt and replies with “oh, only the dog?” but Sawako quickly disagrees “oh no no! of course Kazehaya too!” and he smiles and says OK! It was a very touching and cute scene, I love these little parts they have together.

The next day sawako sits down at her seat and opens up her bag to reveal 3 bags of homemade cookies she wanted to thank Chizuru, Ayane, and Kazehaya for thier hospitality) She then gets up and walks to the back of the class not sure why probably to get something, around that time 2 girls from her class walk in and ask who sits in that seat, one of the girls says oh its sawako and then more rumors start with saying that whoever sits in that seat or near it has misfortune and the such. Sawako overhears this and gathers up the courage to tell them no that isnt true she has no supernatrual powers shes not dirty its ok. Unfortnally they left before they could hear it, still that doesnt seem to discourage Sawako much as she sits down and tells herself there will be other times.

So continuing on, The teacher seems a bit ill, he tells its time to change seats but to do it themselvs and quickly walks out, the rumors start flying saying that he got sick because he overloaded Sadako with all of that work, which leads to more rumors about how misfortunes came to those that did wrongs to Sadako (poor girl just cant catch a break =()

Anyways one guys like oh well lets just change seats anyways. Sawako walks up to take a number and everyone is thinking “Please dont let me sit next to her” she gets #3 which is next to 12, 25, and 19. ohznoz! no one wants to be those numbers of course not! Still Sawako sits in her seat and wishes she could tell someone that she is happy she got this seat. Next thing ya know here comes Kazehaya asking to switch with #19 the student right next to Sawako the class is shocked but he doesn’t care he picks up his desk and sits right next to her, everyone is just like =OOO and Sawako is happy but also shocked.

Ayane seeing this takes her piece of paper and throws it back tells them I dont need this and walks off and sits infront of Sawako. Then Ryuu takes his desk and sits behind Sawako, Chizuru walks up and yells at him saying she wanted to sit there but that he likes that seat cuz its in the back and near the window, Chizuru then grungingly sits next to Asayne (but i dont think she minds so much lol) Sawako brings out the bag of cookies and places them on her desk she tells them they are thank you gifts. Kazehaya was the first to take a bite he says these are delicous and the class looks at him in amazement. Asayne asks if they are homemade Sawako says they are and Asayne gets emotional over it XD. Chizuru and Asayne agree that these cookies are delicous. Ryuu comments that hes hungry and they share thier cookies with him. Sawako then says that she is trully happy to have that seat awwww <333

At the end shes walking and thinking (yay her cute inner monolog) about Kazehaya and the reason she doesnt feel a wall is because of his smile causing her to get a bit teary eyed. Kazehaya rides up next to her on his bike and hes like oh your crying and shes like oh hw unbecomming! and he laughs they talk for a bit (which we dont hear about cuz it zooms out to a few girls that see them talking) they make a comment about how they thought he rejected her and how they seem to be spending alot of time together, it then seems to focus a bit on one girl that is looking at them but not saying anything (perhaps she likes him too? who knows)

It then goes back to Kazehaya and Sawako talking and he says goodbye, she then says to herself how her feelings are growing beyond admiration and respect its turning into a much more loving feeling, make her realize that shes falling in love with him. awww.

Next episode: ” After School” this seems to show Sawako getting along better with her new friends and Kazehaya, and also shows a glimpse of possible another new character (and maybe she likes Kazehaya too? unsure shes the same girl they focused on at the end of ep. 2) I just hope theres no drama or anything lol. but i doubt it.

overall, i really loved this ep (and this series so far) I love those little inner monologs with Sawako because it gives more insight into her character I also love how even though she is so timid and shy she still gathers up enough courage to try and make friends, to not get too discouraged. She never gives up and keeps trying her hardest no matter what, and that is what makes her so loveable and real. I’m also happy that Kazehaya despite his popularity has never let it get to his head, he trully is a genuine nice guy, and he isn’t nice to Sawako out of pity he just really likes her (its pretty evident more then a friend though he hasnt admited it or anything) so thats good too. I like that hes not a looser or a jerk, nothings worse then a nice girl falling for the wrong guy.

The parts too, when they are together are adorable, but in a way realstic its not over dramatic, its not ZOMFG ILY! ZOMFG IDK IF ILY BAK BUT OHWAIT U SED SUMTHN WIERD OKEH ILY NAO! ^___^ none of that, it’s pretty obvious that the two do like eachother but i like that they didnt admit it yet. I’m glad they arent rushing the two because I like to see them grow and get to know eachother first, that way when they do finally admit thier feelings (they better >_< ) itll be just awesome! and heartfelt. But until then im enjoying seeing those two interact together and have thier cute blushy moments lol.

Aysane and Chizuru are also really nice characters, they are’t stuck up or mean to Sawako, they don’t make fun of her either, even though you could tell at first they thought she was just as wierd and creepy as the rumors say they still accepted her and realized shes not so bad. I like how they aren’t nice to her out of pity either.

I just gotta say not to overuse the phrase but this series so far is just well.. refreshing! its nice, it has a nice pace to it not too fast not to slow, it has likeable and realistic characters. I know its a slice-of-life but ive seen slice-of-life shoujos with just overdramaticness (helloooooo peach girl XD) and those are fun but sometimes i long for just a nice little shoujo, without jerkish characters, over dramaticness, cheating, etc… just nice and fun and light hearted that just makes you fall instantly in love with most everyone. I haven’t seen a shoujo like this since Itazura na kiss, so im glad. I hope it doesnt get overly dramatic or anything (but i doubt it will, it seems to be a pretty solid series so im glad) and I’m looking forward to more. :)

(oh and incase you was wondering me and justice both decided to blog this show at the same time soo youll be getting like double the kimi ni todoke..ness? screw it its a great show deserves lotsa bloggins! ^___^)
