Kimi ni Todoke ep. 18

“Chizuru’s Love”

Chizu seems more upbeat then usual as New Years seems to be approaching, and she seems happy over that for some reason.

Chizu sneaks up on Sawako and she seems very upbeat and cheerful, a little more so then usual. Sawako asks why shes so happy and Chizu just says something about how its winter and New Years. Kazehaya then arrives with his bed hair, He gets embarressed over it but Sawako thinks its cute. After that they head to the classroom to a very angry Ayane who is texting her boyfriend, she talks about how hes constantly asking her where shes been, what shes doing, etc.. and she gets mad and says that all she does is go to school and home and sleep! Chizu then seens Ryuu and tells him that shes going over to his place so be there and talks about how she wants to play a game with him that she cant beat. Sawako thinks about how the two have the same aura.

Chizu goes over to Ryuu’s house and walks in on him changing, she plays on his little DS game and cant seem to beat the lion. Ryuu laughs and says he remembered her talking in her sleep during middle school about how she couldn’t beat the lion. Chizu asks if theres anything he wants for his birthday, cuz its comming up, he jokingly says anything but a shoulder coupon, but smiles and says anything will do. Afterwards Chizu is about to leave when she asks Ryuu about New Years Day, but kinda gets embrassed and says nevermind and leaves. Later on that night, Ryuu gets a phone call apparently someone is arrive in a week, and Ryuu is pretty suprised.

After school Chizu asks Ayane and Sawako to go shopping with her for Ryuu’s bday present, Ayane cant make it she wants to talk to her boyfriend, most likely to break it off with him. Sawako is free so she goes with Chizu. Chizu buys him a baseball bag with the wordse “Baseball Idiot” written on them after they leave the shopping district and Sawako wonders if Chizu feels the same way towards Ryuu as he feels about her. So Sawako asks if Chizu likes anyone, she says yes but he doesnt feel the same way, that he seems her as a younger sister. Sawako is convinced she likes Ryuu, but as it turns out its not, its Ryuu’s older brother, who hardly comes by thats why Chizu is excited over New Years because thats when he’ll probably come and see the new “high school” her! Sawako is pretty confused by this and Chizu asks if she meant Ryuu, Chizu laughs and says that she only thinks of Ryuu as a brother, shes practically his older sister.

The Next day Ayane arrives with a bandage over her cheek, turns out her boyfriend hit her when she broke up with him, then he cried and tried to insist they move in together, everyone was pretty shocked, but Ayane even though still distraught over it, still seemed relieved to be rid of him. Jo, who had confessed to a girl that didnt even know him and got rejected, tried to comfort Ayane, but she wanted no part of it. Chizu is looking mini-skirts in a magazine she accidently lets out that she wants to buy one for when Tooru (Ryuu’s brother) comes to visit in New Years, she turns beet red and insists to Kazehaya he didnt hear a thing. Ryuu seemed bothered and walked out. Kazehaya followed him and asked if he had told Chizu about his brother comming, Kazehaya had told Kazehaya that he was arrive after baseball practice, and he didn’t he couldnt bring himself to do it. Ryuu said that looking at cheerful innocent Chizu run into his brother is like some overly dramatic soap opera. He asks if Kazehaya would tell her, and he says he would because in the end its her that decides, Ryuu says that he figured hed say something like that.

Ryuu shows up at Chizus house and she seems suprised. He attempts to tell her about his brother but she notices that his present is out in the open and imedietatly tries to hide it. Ryuu is wondering wats going on and Chizu tells him to go leave! since she was also looking at the mini-skirts too. So she pushes Ryuu out before he had a chance to tell her, and he leaves.

Next Episode 19: “Dreams”

So this episode seems to introduce Ryuu’s older brother and most likely Chizu sees him. Im curious to see what kind of guy he is. I hope hes a jerk that way Ryuu can sweep in and comfort Chizu and like.. declare his love and stuff >____> also am i alone with thinking Ryuu’s brother looks like a male Chizu?

Overall Thoughts: ZOMFG CHIZU X RYUUUUUUU!!!! I liked this episode we got some development on other chars not just Kazehaya and Sawako. omgah Ryuu was way hawt with his shirt off >___> <333 hmm.. kinkeh dreams fersher tonight! ^____^ and wow it looked like he was gonna kiss Chizu when he grabbed the chip bag, he shoulda i was like GO FOR IT RYUU!!!! anyways it seems that he wasnt able to tell her about his brother comming, I wonder if Chizu wil be mad at him for it? or be all ZOMFG TOORRRRUUUUUUUU *(dreamyyyyeeeyyys* to not even care.. prolly the latter.

As i mentioned in the next ep. preview im curious as to what type of person his brother is, guessing by that last frame in the previews i bet hes some sort of charasmatic jerk! Ryuu also said that Chizu running into him was like a drama or something, so maybe hes one of these jerks and Chizus too lovestricken to notice. Ooooooor maybe hes super nice and stuff and im just hoping hes a real jerk just so Ryuu and Chizu could end up together lol. Ah well guess i gotta wait T__T maaaaaaan i hope Ryuu at least confesses hes feelings.

And i gotta wonder too this series is nearing the end i think what? 5 eps left or so? so i wonder if theyll kinda drag kazehaya and sawako out im guessing theyll prolly get together by the last ep. this ep an the next will prolly be dedicated to chizuxryuuxtooru idk about the other eps. guess we gotta see! i cant wait for kazehayaxsawako but at the same time its nice to get into ChizuxRyuu as well ^_____^
