Trick or treating is a momentous moment as a kid (or an older teenager who thinks that going door-to-door for candy will be great for a dorky nostalgia trip), dressing up as your favorite characters and getting bags full of candy from neighbors who pretend to enjoy your company for this one day only so that you can stay inside and binge eat bags of candy for days. However, some neighbors have ulterior motives that can only be found with the help of Chris Hansen & that website that finds convicted criminals in your neighborhood. Thankfully, no one on this list is real, but on the off-chance that some douche decides to invent something that brings cartoon characters to life, here’s a list of characters to warn other neighbors around you to avoid

Well it took awhile, but we finally got the second round of CSW’s top [insert anime related thing here] lists cranked out. As I previously said in the Top Anime list I’d like to once again remind you that this list is simply for fun and not for serious business. However, I think the process in which determined the top anime list was done pretty well and the overall list ended up turning out pretty dang good all things considering. This time was a lot more difficult however. The pool for characters is a lot larger than the pool for anime and tastes in characters between people is probably one of the most subjective and varying opinions, so it was difficult to really come up with a process to narrow down and separate the field, in the end we decided to do a male/female split, each nominate some characters, and then rank our favorite 10 out of the entire pool. I guess what I’m getting at here is that I don’t think the process is nearly as clean as it was previously or really as indicative as to who/what ranks where. But as I said its for fun, and every character on this list is a pretty dang good character so lets just dive into this and enjoy it for what it is.
And we’ve reached the top 10 (For 25-11 go here). Overall I think this is a pretty damn good top 10 overall. It has what you would expect; a couple surprises, some classics, some new blood, but overall every series in here is absolutely excellent and would be deserving of a top 10 spot on most if not all lists. Another interesting thing to note is how close the scores are, pretty much everything barring the winner could be interchanged from rank to rank as the grand total difference between 8th and 2nd was just a mere .12. So that’s enough commentary from me, lets get on to the shows.
Hint Hint, this show is in the top 10.
So in lieu of doing something a little different, yet cliche, I decided it might be fun if all of us here at CSW and the rest of us from the ASMB, got together and made some “best of” lists. This week we’re rolling out the Top 25 anime list (Note: This does not include OVAs or Movies). This blog will cover the bottom 60% of that list and the top 40% will be featured in another blog, which should be out in a few days. This list was formed from ASMBers/CSWers coming together and deciding on which shows were “worthy” of being on the list through nominations. Everything on the list was then rated on a scale of 1-10 by each user (who had seen the show) and then the overall score was averaged out. There were 16 shows that didn’t make the cut, which I’ll briefly feature at the end of this blog. So without further adieu, lets get this list started.
